Cassidy Houston is a Northern Ontario–based songwriter crafting warm, folk-rooted songs shaped by place, identity, and quiet resilience. Raised on the shores of Gitchi Gami, their music blends intimate storytelling with modern indie textures, exploring love, loss, and the courage of becoming—guided by a queer lens of growth, self-discovery, and authenticity.
Cassidy has performed across Canada in cities including Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver, with festival appearances such as River & Sky Music Festival, Northern Lights Festival Boréal, and Trout Forest Musical Festival. Recent notable, career highlights include opening for Foreigner at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium and performing on the closing night of Thunder Bay’s 2025 Live on the Waterfront series.
Currently, Cassidy is writing and recording their sophomore EP, red flag flowers, set for release in Spring 2026. Recorded at Blueprints Audio in Thunder Bay alongside Northern Ontario collaborators, the project marks a new chapter in their evolving artistry—rooted in connection, transformation, and growth.
